Job description

What you get to do:
You'll ensure only the finest baked products are made and packaged for our parks. This involves producing delicious pastries, desserts, and other baked goods in order to deliver an exceptional experience to guests and Ambassadors alike. You will:
  • Follow and measure recipes
  • Mix, scale, and bake a wide variety of products
  • Ensure proper set up and breakdown of equipment
  • Operate commercial kitchen equipment
  • Work as part of a team to provide excellent guest service
  • Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Consistently practices safe work habits
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What it takes to succeed:
  • Previous culinary arts education
  • 1-2 years of bakery production or deli experience
  • Experience in a high-volume bakery environment
  • Energetic, willing to learn and work as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Basic knife skills and knowledge of cake decorating
  • Ability to carry, push, pull, and lift 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of basic COVID-19 food and beverage safety requirements
  • Strong communication, customer service, multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours/shifts

What else is important:
  • Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
  • Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes
  • Perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals
  • Work a flexible schedule/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities
