Job Profile
JOB SUMMARY: Transports patients, specimens and medication throughout Harris Health System facilities via wheelchair, stretcher and/or bed in an efficient, timely and safe manner while maintaining proper infection control methods, and ensuring that the patient is given the utmost courtesy and respect by utilizing good customer service skills and adhering to the Service First standards of behavior.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: High School Diploma or GED
2. Work Experience (Years and Area): 1 yr. preferred
3. Management Experience (Years and Area): None
4. Equipment Operated: Stretcher, Wheelchair , Hospital Bed, Radio equipment, Oxygen Tanks and
Cadaver Stretcher and electronic devices
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: (Check Applicable Areas)
1. Communication Skills:
Bilingual Skills Preferred? Yes - Languages: Spanish
Writing/Correspondence
2. Other Skills: CPR
3. Advanced Education:
4. Work Schedule: Weekends Holidays Flexible Overtime
5. Other Requirements: Healthcare customer service preferred
