Job description

COAX Splicer – Telecommunications

B&A Communications is seeking an experienced COAX Splicer to join our telecommunications construction team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience splicing, activating, testing, and troubleshooting coaxial cable networks.
Responsibilities

  • Perform coax cable splicing, including new construction and maintenance work
  • Install and splice coax cable, hardline connectors, passives, and related equipment
  • Read and understand system prints, maps, and work orders
  • Perform system activation, balancing, testing, and troubleshooting as required
  • Identify and repair signal and connectivity issues
  • Complete aerial and underground splicing work
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed work
  • Follow company and customer safety and quality standards
  • Work independently in the field and coordinate with supervisors and construction crews
Qualifications

  • Previous COAX splicing experience required
  • Knowledge of CATV/HFC systems and coax construction practices
  • Ability to use signal meters and standard splicing/testing equipment
  • Ability to read cable prints and system maps
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, or on-call as project needs require
  • Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to produce quality work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
Compensation

$20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
