Purpose of Position: The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for providing outstanding guest service, greeting and serving hotel guests in the breakfast area, maintaining breakfast buffet service during breakfast hours, and ensuring smooth operations of the breakfast area daily. You will also be responsible for cleaning all the public and breakfast areas after your shift.

The breakfast hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM, and Saturday and Sunday, 7 AM to 10 AM. You must arrive at work 30-45 minutes before your shift to ensure you have enough time to cook and prepare breakfast for our guests properly. Weekends are mandatory for this position. 

Essential Functions:

  • Possess an upbeat personality and a desire to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests. Ensure smooth service each morning.
  • Respond to guest requests in a friendly, professional manner. Resolve any guest complaints regarding the breakfast area. When necessary, request assistance from the General Manager.
  • Maintains a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in all areas.
  • During posted hours, remain available in the breakfast area to meet all guests' needs.
  • Set up the breakfast buffet, including hot food items, and maintain it throughout breakfast hours.
  • Keep the breakfast area clean and stocked throughout the day, stock paper products and (if required) food items, empty trash, clean off tables, etc.
  • Follow all Federal, State, and Local health and safety procedures, including wearing gloves, hand washing, food temperatures, and storage.
  • Complete training in all areas of security, alcohol, health, and safety. Ensuring that all OSHA, State, and Federal guidelines for chemical, fire, health, and safety are being followed. Keeping safety in mind in all things.
  • Clean breakfast area and kitchen daily, washing dishes, tables, chairs, equipment, and ensuring that all areas of the breakfast area and kitchen are clean and sanitized to meet Federal, State, and Local guidelines.
  • Restock the breakfast area, and have it ready for the next day.
  • Ensure that inventory is adequate.
  • Remain professional in appearance at all times, following brand uniform requirements.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills and convey information and ideas.
  • Participates in and supports a positive, enjoyable work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
