The Atlanta and surrounding areas Route Driver position is responsible forย the safe and efficient delivery of products to customers on an assigned route. This position is 100% touch freight, requiring the manual handling of products and the operation of equipment such as hand trucks. The driver must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driverโ€™s License (CDL) and maintain a current medical card.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport and deliver products to customers according to the assigned route schedule.
  • Load and unload freight, requiring frequent lifting of individual items up to 100 lbs. and maneuvering loaded hand trucks up and down a ramp.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and in compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
  • Collect payments from customers as required and turn in collected funds following company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records, including delivery logs and trip reports.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
  • Work in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, snow, and ice.
  • Perform continuous physical activities, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
  • Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with customers and resolving delivery-related issues as needed.

  • Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Schedule is Monday through Friday, with early morning start times and variable shift durations depending on load size.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to push or pull loaded hand trucks weighing up to 300 lbs.
  • Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb in and out of the truck multiple times per day.
