Job description

Urology Clinic RN Role

An RN in this role will need to have very strong urology skills. Prior outpatient experience is highly preferred, but the manager is open to solely acute care experience with high rated urology skills. RN must be comfortable with catheterization. Facility is willing to train on urodynamics studies, bladder instillations, Botox, testosterone injection on an as needed basis. The RN will be the person responsible for performing special procedures such as gemcitabine and/or gemzar, which is a chemotherapy procedure where a chemo agent is infused into the bladder and then drained. This is typically done post removal of tumors to make sure they don't return. RN will also be performing urodynamics studies, PTNS, catheter changes, CIC teaching, voiding trials and injections. The RN also triages patient calls, works in the in-basket and does refills. Locals and true travel ok!! 26 weeks required. Position/specialty: urology clinic RN. Start date: ASAP. Years of experience required: 1 year. First-timers accepted: yes. Weekends required: no. Is on-call required? No. Will this traveler need to float between like units? No. Locals accepted: yes but not required. Chemo certification is not required.
