The RN would be on call from Friday at 4:30 pm until Monday at 8:00 am (eastern). The RN would be responsible to cover any as-needed visits that arise, as well as scheduled weekend visits including admission visits. Compensation will include an on-call stipend PLUS pay per visit for each visit completed. The Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management. Licensing or registration is required.Â
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Â

- Must cover any as-needed visits that arise, as well as schedule weekend visits, including admission visits
- Provide skilled nursing treatments as ordered by the client’s doctorÂ
- Complete evaluation tasks, including vital signs and medication reviewsÂ
- Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other individuals in the client’s care planÂ
- Assess and chart observations of the client’s condition at each visitÂ
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing careÂ
- Work collaboratively with all members of the healthcare teamÂ
- Provide education to clients and families on proper home health care procedures and strategiesÂ
- Record patients' medical information and vital signsÂ
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patient's conditionsÂ
- Administer local, inhalation, intravenous, or another anestheticÂ
- Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatmentsÂ
- Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditionsÂ
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's conditionÂ
- Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activityÂ
- Engage in research activities and participation in formal educational training activities related to nursingÂ
- Perform other duties as assignedÂ
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)Â
- Must be available on weekends from Friday 4:30 pm until Monday 8:00 am (Eastern)
- Associates degree required; Graduate of an accredited state-approved, Bachelor’s Degree from a school of nursing preferredÂ
- Current and valid California Registered Nurse LicenseÂ
- Prior nursing experience, specifically in home health (preferred)Â
- Current CPR certification (required)Â
- Driver’s LicenseÂ
