Come join a great team at State Hospital West (SHW)! We are seeking temporary Registered Nurses at SHW located in Nampa. SHW is a 16-bed Adolescent Psychiatric Treatment Hospital (for adolescents between 11 and 18 years old) nestled between Ridgecrest and Centennial golf courses on a picturesque piece of state property along the Nampa Interstate 84 corridor. SHW provides psychiatric inpatient treatment care for Idaho's adolescent citizens with the most serious and persistent mental illnesses. The hospital works in partnership with families and communities to enable clients to return to community living and is accredited by The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations and certified by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
This position offers the opportunity to work with an excellent team of the top health care providers in Idaho. Idaho Department of Health and Welfare is seeking individuals who are driven to make an impact to our patients' lives. This position also requires applicants to become certified in CPR and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention. Employees will be required to work weekends, holidays, and day shifts.
This position is not eligible for telework.
Temporary positions are limited to working 1,385 hours in a 12-month period for any one state agency. Employees are eligible for benefits if they work twenty (20) hours or more per week and the term of employment is expected to exceed five (5) continuous months.
The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug-free workplace. In addition, successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal history background investigation. Employment is dependent upon satisfactory results of the investigation.
