Responsibilities

  • Perform general carpentry work, including framing walls, hanging drywall, building shelves, etc.
  • Perform general painting work, including doors, frames, and walls.
  • Perform general Casino repairs, including carpet replacement & repair, tile replacement & repair, wallpaper replacement & repair, upholstery replacement & repair.
  • Perform other miscellaneous tasks, including furniture repair, small equipment repair, cutting, etc.
  • Perform minor roof repair and patching as needed.
  • Participate and follow all ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) guidelines, drills and inspections.
  • Perform fire watch inspections, fire drills - donning of SCBAS and firefighting turn-out gear.
  • Perform “Man-over-board” drills – Launching of rescue boat and following all safety guidelines.
  • Remove all trash & dunnage from Casino & Annex.
  • Clean and maintain Casino employee bathrooms.
  • General cleaning of Back-of-house areas as needed.
  • Moving and relocating of furniture and marketing promotional items.
  • Operating man-lifts, articulating-lifts, boom-lifts, fork-lifts and pallet-jacks.
  • Maintain and inspect all safety equipment including eye-wash stations, fire extinguishers, fire hoses, SCBA packs, turnout gear, rescue boat & davit, repairing and cleaning units, changing filters, lubricate parts and assisting mechanics/maintenance with preventive maintenance.
  • Assist with snow removal from sidewalks, parking lots, stairs, ramp ways, exits, hotel, pavilion and other facilities. Ensure all emergency paths are always kept unobstructed.
  • Repair and maintain physical structure of Casino/Annex and all joining fixtures.
  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders & saws.
  • Provide positive communication and use of ACES Training skills with every patron and co-worker.
  • Perform duties in a safe manner; report any potential safety hazards to management staff.
  • Assist other departments and employees as needed. Assist with Casino preventative maintenance task.
  • Perform any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position’s job description, where, in the Company’s judgment, those duties are necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or guest service.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to read, write legibly, understand, and speak English.
  • Ability to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, and bright lights.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace in an often crowded/noisy environment.
  • Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
  • Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
