Job description

Field Service Biomedical Equipment Technician

Swedesboro, NJ, United States

Pay: $23.00 - $42.00 per hour, based on experience. Bring proven experience with surgical or medical equipment, and you'll start at the top of the range. We pay for skill, not just seniority.

Why This Job Matters

When a surgical table fails, an operating room stops. The equipment you keep running is the equipment surgeons and patients depend on every day. At Biomedical Services you're not a badge number in a national fleet: you work on specialized OR equipment, your work is visible, and your name is on it.

What's in It for You

  • Medical (Aetna): individual coverage fully company-paid on our core plan; multiple plan options for family.
  • Dental & vision: individual coverage 100% company-paid.
  • 401(k) with company match: 100% of your first 3% plus 50% of the next 2%.
  • Life insurance & long-term disability (MetLife).
  • Paid time off: 2 weeks (10 days) accrued PTO, plus 9 paid holidays.
  • Paid training and certification support: we invest in your OEM equipment training and support BMET/CBET certification.
  • Coverage begins the first of the month following your start date.

About Us

Biomedical Services, Inc. is a leading multi-vendor service company specializing in the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of medical and surgical equipment, including surgical tables, surgical lights, and OR booms. From our new headquarters in Swedesboro, NJ, our technicians support hospitals and surgery centers across the New York, Washington DC, and Philadelphia metro areas, as well as New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Connecticut, and New York State.

The Role

Full-time Field Service Biomedical Equipment Technician based at our Swedesboro, NJ headquarters. This is a hybrid role: depot repair work at our facility plus field service calls at customer sites. You will troubleshoot and repair a wide range of medical and surgical devices, perform preventive maintenance, complete service documentation accurately for billing and compliance, and deliver exceptional service to healthcare professionals.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience maintaining and repairing medical or similar technical equipment. The more you bring, the more you earn.
  • Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, electronics, or a related field preferred. Equivalent military training or CBET certification also qualifies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills; you diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with healthcare staff.
  • Self-motivation and discipline to work independently in the field.
  • Familiarity with surgical tables and lights is a strong plus.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Occasional after-hours or weekend availability for urgent customer needs.
  • Physical requirements: ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds and to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Why Join Us

Growing company, new headquarters, hands-on work that keeps operating rooms running. Experienced technicians are rewarded from day one. Apply now and grow with us.

Biomedical Services, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Reasonable accommodations are available for qualified individuals with disabilities.
