Job description

Join a dynamic team in Atlanta, GA as a Critical Systems Technician II, Connected. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the installation, maintenance, and operation of battery systems related to Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems for critical facilities. This position offers hands-on experience with essential power infrastructure, opportunities to learn advanced technical skills, and the chance to work in a collaborative environment that values safety, reliability, and professional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with battery replacements and new installations for UPS systems at customer facilities.
  • Support preventative and scheduled maintenance of battery systems with minimal disruption to customers.
  • Help prepare job sites, including material delivery, unloading/loading, and transporting materials within facilities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment during installations and maintenance activities.
  • Follow operational, maintenance, and emergency procedures to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Operate and learn to safely use equipment such as company vehicles, pallet jacks, forklifts, moving carts, and battery testing tools.
  • Package and prepare batteries for transport in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Assist with work in other service divisions (such as Switch Gear, Operations, HVAC) as needed.
  • Interact professionally with internal teams and external customers.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and lead technicians.
  • Travel to job sites, including overnight stays and occasional night or weekend work (travel may be 30% or more).
  • Support warehouse operations as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is essential.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and general maintenance tools.
  • Ability to learn basic AC/DC theory, electronic components, and circuitry.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
  • Ability and willingness to travel, including overnight and weekend work as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds regularly.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance is preferred.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to obtain certifications in DOT, First Aid, CPR, and Adult AED.
  • Completion of NFPA-70E Safety training (or willingness to complete).
  • No supervisory responsibilities.
