Job description

Responsible for all aspects of the bar ranging from preparation to service. Ensures that supplies and stock are at sufficient levels to accommodate business demands during their shift.  Provides guidance to the Apprentice Bartender as well as mixing and serving drinks to customers during their shift.  Accounts for all stock and supplies used.

With 2,500 beautifully designed guest rooms and suites showcasing some of the best views in town, Planet Hollywood encompasses more than 100,000 square-feet of gaming, several lounges, various restaurants including Gordon Ramsay BurGR.
  • Work requires 1 year prior bartending experience.
  • Must have completed union apprenticeship program (possess union Pour Card).
  • Must have knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes.
  • Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner. 
  • Must present a neat and professional appearance.
  • Work requires interactions with customers, public and co-workers. 
  • Work requires ability to accurately count money and provide change.
  • Work requires schedule flexibility which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Must possess basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Completion of specialized bartending school preferred.

  • Prepare ordered drinks with proper portions and ingredients such as wine, liquor and related bar service to guests at assigned stations. 
  • Mixes drinks according to prescribed recipes; keeps station stocked with all liquor, glasses and accessories necessary; accounts for all beginning cash register bank, all cash, complimentary drinks and charge receipts. 
  • Operates a cash register, ringing the proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change.
  • Possesses a keen sense of timing and is capable of discreetly speeding up or slowing down his/her station as necessary. 
  • Resourceful with beverages, fruit and supplies in order to maintain low beverage costs. 
  • Set up service items at the assigned bar.
  • Inventory supplies at the bar at the beginning of their shift and requisition additional items as indicated by Bar standards.
  • Clean any spillage at the bar throughout the shift.
  • Take and serve cocktail orders.
  • Accept payment for cocktails as required.
  • Count down register drawers and complete summaries.
  • Log stock used during the shift.
  • Maintains the appropriate appearance of the bar in accordance with county health and department standards.
  • Ensures that all service items and stock is prepared for the shift.
  • Remains attentive to the needs and requests of the customers.
  • Treats customers with courtesy and respect.
  • Follows all applicable safety procedures.
  • Is at all times appropriately groomed and wears the uniform provided.
  • Additional related duties as requested.
