Job Summary 
 

The Barback is a key support role responsible for ensuring the bar operates efficiently, cleanly, and in alignment with service standards. This position assists Bartenders by maintaining bar cleanliness, preparing garnishes, restocking supplies, and ensuring all equipment and inventory are service-ready at all times. This role focuses on supporting the bar team, maintaining organization, and anticipating operational needs to ensure a smooth and consistent guest experience.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized bar environment in compliance with health and safety regulations 

  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking garnishes, glassware, bar tools, and service supplies 

  • Monitor taps, bar equipment, and appliances, changing kegs and addressing minor issues as needed 

  • Maintain working knowledge of beverage offerings and food menu to support service flow and guest needs 

  • Ensure proper organization and inventory levels of bar supplies and ingredients 

  • Execute duties with consistency and precision by following established steps of service 

  • Proactively anticipate the needs of Bartenders, servers, and guests to support smooth operations 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant bar or hospitality experience 

  • Strong multitasking skills with a dependable and service focused work ethic 

  • Ability to anticipate guest and operational needs in a fast-paced environment 

  • Working knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and wine preferred 

  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays 

  • Ability to stand for the duration of assigned shifts and lift up to 35 pounds
