Description
Bartenders at Great Adventure will ensure the successful and profitable operation of assigned bar location, oversee and produce quality beverages and snack food items while maintaining compliance of all policies and procedures to achieve outstanding Guest Service.
Responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Proper bar set up with bar utensils and equipment such as glassware and shakers.
  • Verify customers age and process payments through POS system.
  • Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere.
  • Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients so drinks can be made in a timely manner.
  • Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients or specials; Inform staff of all new specials on the menu.
  • Slightly modify recipes to meet customers needs and dietary requests.
  • Ensure that the Guest experience is met with Friendly, Speedy and Accurate service, while resolving issues when necessary.
  • Enforce proper food preparation and handling procedures, in compliance with all Health Department and Food and Beverage Operation policies regarding sanitation.
  • Continually monitor the cleanliness of all units within the assigned area.
  • Ensure the safety of all team members and guests.
  • Ensure that a proper level of inventory is maintained at each location in assigned area.
  • Identify areas for continued improvement; develop and implement strategies to enhance these areas.
  • Comply with all Six Flags policies at all times.

Qualifications
Skills And Qualifications:
  • Must be willing to work 40-60 hours per week, including before and after scheduled shifts if necessary and on weekends and holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods of time. Must be able to physically change kegs and move stock from storage to bar location.
  • Must be professional, outgoing, energetic, self-motivated, able to motivate others, and have a positive attitude.
  • Excellent time management skills along with the ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks.
  • Perfect grooming and conduct must be constantly displayed.
  • Preferred 1-2 years of proven work experience as a bartender.
  • Up to date knowledge of alcohol related beverage trends and food pairing techniques. Hands on experience with various bartending equipment.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol.
  • Accountability in maintaining inventory.
  • Preferred Active Servsafe Alcohol Certification or Tips Certification.
  • Must be willing to change locations when requested by Fulltime Staff.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
