Network Engineer
We are seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to join a fast-paced, evolving IT environment. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, wears multiple hats, and is eager to grow and solve complex networking challenges. This role is heavily focused on Fortinet firewalls and enterprise network architecture within an Azure-centric infrastructure.
Environment Includes:
  • Azure, O365, Fortinet (100+ firewalls), Active Directory, Intune, Virtual Machines
  • Dynamic and unstructured IT environment-collaboration, curiosity, and flexibility are key

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Fortinet firewalls and networking policies
  • Design and implement subnetting, VLANs, DNS, trace routes, and port forwarding solutions
  • Conduct firewall policy creation from scratch and resolve access and security issues
  • Support Azure tenant setup, cost analysis, and configuration of hybrid IT environments
  • Collaborate on IT initiatives requiring cross-functional skills (networking, sys admin, cloud)
  • Assist with DNS requests, shared drive access, and internal/external connectivity issues
  • Document network designs, procedures, and perform security best practices reviews

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience with Fortinet firewalls (policy creation, troubleshooting, SD-WAN, IPS, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts: subnetting, VLANs, routing, and switching
  • Azure hands-on experience: tenant setup, cost management, VM deployment
  • Background in systems administration (Active Directory, Intune, O365)
  • Passion for continuous learning, side projects, and cross-domain problem solving
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to guide end-to-end issue resolution

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, trace route analysis, and Azure cost optimization
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell)
