Description:

Position Summary/Basic Function

The Handyman Technician is tasked with the restoration and preventative maintenance of properties in their assigned locations. The ideal candidate has a high-level attention to detail, quality craftsmanship, and the personability to deliver lasting customer experiences.


Key Responsibilities

  • General maintenance repairs such as ceiling tiles, replacing wallboards, millwork, flooring, wallpaper, and restroom fixtures.
  • Address issues resulting from water / cosmetic damage and complete minor drywall repairs and painting
  • Able to complete minor exterior concrete and masonry repairs
  • Conduct electrical repairs, such as replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
  • Conduct plumbing repairs, including repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures and components.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs+ and maneuver tools and materials on ladders regularly.
  • Manage and Drive Accountability withing the team on Critical KPI’s
  • Safely operating vehicles and utilizing field automation systems for efficient transportation of materials and equipment.
  • Collaborating effectively within the team and sharing pertinent information regarding repair and restoration tasks.
  • Providing customer service by addressing complaints and explaining job specifications.
  • Adhering strictly to company procedures and safety protocols, especially when working with electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of trucks and warehouse facilities, including storage of ceiling tiles and related repair materials.
  • Assisting in quality control plans and conducting inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards for all repairs needing to be completed.
  • Communicating task statuses and supporting internal project communication, particularly regarding ceiling repairs and related maintenance activities.
  • Interpreting construction drawings and specifications, especially as they relate to ceiling installations and repairs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50lbs
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Comfortable working on ladders, rooftops, and in various weather conditions.

  • Must be able to work long hours or shifts, including potential overtime, weekends, or on-call situations

Experience/Education

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Valid Driver’s license in good standing without restrictions.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant regulations and laws
  • Technologically proficient, including proficiency in computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
