Job description

GL Staffing is seeking a AutoCAD Drafter to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing clear, complete, and accurate technical drawings, layouts, and detailed plans from sketches, notes, and engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD and eager to learn and grow within a manufacturing environment.


Location: Miami Gardens, FL

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM

Pay Rate: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour (depending on experience)


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • The AutoCAD Drafter will create detailed mechanical drawings, layouts, and flat patterns based on sketches, specifications, and engineering requirements.
  • Review and verify dimensions, materials, and relationships between components and assemblies.
  • The AutoCAD Drafter will prepare accurate working plans and detailed drawings for fabrication and production.
  • Utilize Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD to develop and modify technical drawings and designs.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles, mathematics, manufacturing processes, and building materials to complete designs.
  • The AutoCAD Drafter will make revisions and adjustments to drawings as needed to meet engineering and production requirements.
  • Ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and comply with company standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and management teams to support project requirements..
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  • Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor is required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD drafting and design is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
