Overview:
The Shipping and Receiving Assistant is responsible for performing work assigned by the Parts Manager or Supervisor. He/she will also be responsible for maintaining good customer relations by inspecting all work performed by the team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shipping & Receiving:

  • Shipping and receiving of parts, inventory and quality control.
  • Responsible for pulling and processing of all orders, interfacing with sales or packaging and preparing for shipping.
  • Responsible for ensuring inventory counts and movement of parts are accurate.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained.
  • Examine shipment for defective products or questionable conditions.
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with purchase orders, bill of ladings, and/ or invoices to verify accuracy.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, damages, or discrepancies.
Parts Delivery Driver:
  • The route ranges from 50-100 miles round trip per day depending on the area.
  • Home EVERY NIGHT
  • Delivery and/or pick- up parts to customers, satellite stores, and vendors.
  • Pick-up and/ or deliver customer trucks
  • Log deliveries and pick-ups on a day-to-day basis.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
