WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a member of the Paint and Body Shop Team, the Body Shop Technician assists with preparing aircraft surfaces and components for painting. This role supports the paint process through surface preparation, bodywork, masking, and shop maintenance to ensure high-quality finishes on aircraft parts. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with basic auto body, restoration, or automotive paint experience who are looking to build a long-term career in aircraft manufacturing. Training and advancement opportunities are available for motivated team members.

Responsibilities

  • Perform surface preparation and bodywork on aircraft parts prior to priming
  • Block and sand primed parts to ensure smooth, paint-ready surfaces
  • Assist with wet lay-up processes as required
  • Mask aircraft parts and components in preparation for painting
  • Complete required production and quality documentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the body shop and staging areas
  • Follow all safety and quality standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required?

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Bodywork, automotive painting, or paint preparation experience is preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive motions for extended periods
  • Willingness to perform hands-on, physically demanding work while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail.

COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE

Day Shift

Monday – Friday
6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Starting Pay: $22.00/hour

Afternoon Shift

Monday – Thursday
2:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.
Starting Pay: $23.00/hour (includes shift differential)
