Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our collision repair team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in repairing vehicle bodies, restoring damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition, and delivering high-quality workmanship. This role involves working with a variety of tools and equipment to complete structural repairs, panel replacement, dent removal, sanding, priming, and refinishing. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise in auto body repair and contribute to customer service skills a dynamic and passionate team.
Responsibilities as an Auto Body Specialist

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle bodies to assess damage and provide accurate repair estimates.
  • Utilize your knowledge and expertise in automotive repair techniques to repair and replace damaged body parts such as panels, fenders, doors, bumpers and frames. This involves using various hand and power tools to remove, reshape, and install parts, as well as performing welding and metalworking tasks.
  • Perform structural repairs and frame straightening using frame machines and measuring systems.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting through sanding, masking, and prepping vehicles, ensuring a smooth and flawless finish.
  • Perform paintless dent repairs (PDR) and effectively remove dents to restore the vehicle's original appearance, when applicable.
  • Ensure all repairs meet industry safety and quality standards, following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with other technicians and effectively communicate with the service team to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and techniques through ongoing learning and professional development opportunities.
  • The auto body technician will inspect the completed repairs to ensure they meet industry standards and customer expectations. This includes verifying proper fitment of parts, paint color accuracy, and overall repair quality.

Requirements to apply for the Auto Body Technician Job

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency as an Auto Body Repair Technician, with a strong track record of successful repairs.
  • Solid knowledge of automotive repair techniques and tools, including expertise in using body shop equipment such as welders and frame straightening tools.
  • Ability to accurately assess vehicle body damage and develop effective repair plans to achieve optimal results.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
