The Car Salon is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Autobody Technician to join our growing, full-time team in our busy collision repair facility.

We are looking for an experienced technician with strong abilities in body repair, prep work, and paint preparation who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. Position Responsibilities

As an Autobody Technician at The Car Salon, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing repair estimates thoroughly before beginning work
  • Identifying and documenting additional damage not included in estimates for supplements
  • Performing vehicle tear-downs and re-assembly
  • Test fitting parts prior to refinishing and installation
  • Removing and reinstalling bumpers, doors, panels, and related components
  • Completing body repairs including dent repair, filler application, sanding, and surface preparation
  • Masking and prepping vehicles for paint
  • Assisting in other areas of the body shop to support workflow and production efficiency
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace


Work Environment

This position is based in a high-volume automotive repair facility and involves:

  • Fast-paced production with tight deadlines
  • Exposure to dust, debris, paint materials, and shop chemicals
  • Use of air-powered and electric tools in a noisy environment
  • Physical activity including lifting and moving automotive parts


Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of autobody experience
  • Journeyman certification or registered apprentice
  • Strong experience in:
    • Body repair
    • Prep work
    • Paint preparation
    • Tear-down and re-assembly
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal comebacks
  • Comfortable using power tools and shop equipment to maximize productivity
