We are seeking a Director of Sales and Marketing to lead occupancy growth at Trulee Evanston, a 160 unit senior living community located in Evanston, IL.

This role is ideal for a driven, relationship-focused sales leader who thrives on building referral networks, guiding families through the decision-making process, and delivering results while maintaining a compassionate, resident-centered approach.

About the opportunity

This is a high-impact sales leadership role at Solera’s flagship Trulee Evanston community. The Director of Sales & Marketing will manage two sales team members while also carrying a direct sales role, supporting a high-occupancy community with continued growth runway in the Chicago market, including Aurora and Foundry Park. We are seeking a top-performing sales leader with 5+ years of proven senior housing sales experience and a track record of driving occupancy, referrals, and move-ins.

Compensation for this role includes a base salary of $115,000, plus a strong commission/bonus plan with annual earning potential of over 30% based on continued strong performance.

  • Maintain accurate lead and activity tracking within the CRM

  • Measure referral source effectiveness and adjust outreach strategies accordingly

  • Ensure model, respite, and rent-ready rooms are tour-ready at all times

  • Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure the community presents at its best

  • Partner with leadership on staging and presentation of model spaces

Marketing & Reporting

  • Complete weekly marketing and occupancy reports

  • Develop Competitive Market Analyses at least twice annually

  • Partner with the Home Office team on advertising, branding, and public relations initiatives

  • Support social media and local marketing efforts

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the Executive Director to align sales strategy with operational goals

  • Participate in stand-up meetings and cross-department collaboration

  • Assist with special events, open houses, and community programs

The Ideal Candidate
  • Approaches the role with an entrepreneurial, ownership mindset

  • Is motivated by exceeding sales and occupancy goals

  • Builds trust with families through empathy, professionalism, and follow-through

  • Maintains flexibility to meet prospect and referral schedules, including some evenings and weekends

  • Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and strong leadership presence

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or real estate

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding occupancy or revenue goals

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to individuals and groups

  • Commitment to exceptional customer service
