Job description

Position Summary 

The Energy Storage System (ESS) Operator is responsible for supporting the assembly, operation, and basic troubleshooting of energy storage systems. This role requires foundational electrical knowledge, the ability to follow assembly procedures, and a strong commitment to quality and workplace organization. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the assembly and operation of energy storage systems and related components 
  • Read and interpret basic mechanical and electrical drawings to support system build and troubleshooting 
  • Safely use common hand tools and assembly equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures 
  • Perform routine inspections and self-checks to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications 
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, issues identified, and corrective actions taken 
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and procedures at all times 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area following 5S principles 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and team-based problem-solving 

Required Skills & Qualifications 

Technical Skills 

  • Basic understanding of electrical components (e.g., wiring, connectors, circuits) 
  • Ability to read and follow simple electrical and mechanical drawings 
  • Familiarity with basic assembly processes and tools 

Assembly & Quality Skills 

  • Proficient in using standard hand and power tools 
  • Strong attention to detail with effective self-inspection habits

Workplace Organization (5S)
