Job description

         Pastor -  Fellowship Bible Church
 
Fellowship Bible Church is seeking a full-time Solo Pastor to work 35-40 hours a week or part time to work 20 hours a week to preach the Word of God and to serve as our church's pastor. Fellowship Bible Church is a small independent evangelical church in the heart of the Green Mountains in the lovely town of Castleton, Vermont. We have been provided a beautiful church through God's abundant blessings and loyal followers of Christ. We currently have a range of about 40-55 people attending our Sunday service. We are presently looking for a servant of the Lord who loves and preaches only the Word of God. He must be a good shepherd of the flock who cares for each and every sheep.
 
Roles of the Pastor of FBC:
The Pastor’s duties listed in our constitution are to: declare the whole council of God; provide leadership in the areas of evangelism, visitation stewardship, counseling, and missionary outreach; personally minister to and supervise all those involved in ministry; and equip the saints for the work of ministry and edifying the church. The Pastor also has various roles within the church building and community. Should have a passion for reaching young families while preserving and nurturing an older congregation.  The Pastor must work with the members to keep the church running and operating in a way that is pleasing to God, the community, and God's family at FBC.
 
Qualifications Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Theology or Biblical Studies or any Bachelor's Degree with a Master's Degree in Theology or Biblical Studies 
  • Experience in biblical preaching and teaching during Sunday service and Bible Studies.
Compensation:
Full time Salary: $48,000 - $70,000 for a 35-40 hour five day work week based on experience and education.
 
Benefits: Three weeks of paid vacation and up to eight paid sick days per year. Candidate will secure own health insurance and we will pay up to $6000 a year. That may cover all state health insurance in many cases. Vermont has high premiums but also offers supplemental help that depends on your income. The pay package and benefits are negotiable.
 
Part Time Salary: $25,000 - $36,000 based on experience and working 18-20 hours a week (with  Sunday 9:30-1:00 being part of that time) and flexibility that is negotiated and no benefits for part time.
