Job description

Job Summary

The Adventure Sports Host is responsible for the supervision and facilitation of Archery, Laser Tag and Archery Tag games for participants, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the gear and facilities, while providing excellent customer service. This position also fills in at the Bungee Trampoline to administer breaks as needed and at the Bike Tent.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Uphold and support recreation expectations of Great Guest Service, Quality Programming and Safe Recreation.
  • Assist the department in minimizing liability and risk.
  • Follow activity standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and uphold standards outlined in training.
  • Communicate, promote, sell and encourage on and off-site program participation.
  • Assist with course designs, set-up, and maintenance which includes but is not limited to mowing, weed whipping, painting, and picking up debris.
  • Facilitate the daily field and target archery, laser tag and private archery tag operations.
  • Provide safety briefing and equipment checks prior to every Adventure Sports session.
  • Perform and record basic Adventure Sports equipment maintenance as trained.
  • Provide lunch and bathroom breaks to Bungee Trampoline Staff when able or scheduled to.
  • Assist in keeping course fields, target range, and equipment shed clean, organized, and safe.
  • Interact and provide a safe, fun environment at all times.
  • Work special events and other programming as needed.
  • Assist at the bike tent with signing out and checking back in rental bike fleet.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

Competencies:

  • Previous recreation facilitation experience is desirable but not required.
  • Previous Archery & laser tag background, Equipment maintenance experience, customer service skills are preferred but not required. 
  • CPR/First Aid Certifications required/provided. 
  • Excellent guest service.
  • Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess a high level of concentration, self-motivation, the ability to multi-task and the drive to have fun.
  • Previous experience working with children a plus.
  • Must have the ability to work independently.
  • Dependable and meets goals.
  • Exemplifies professional conduct and adherence to company Core Values.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position

Physical & Other Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Must be able to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Minimum 16 years old.
  • Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
  • Non-smoking candidates preferred.
