Job description

The Technician Apprentice Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges.  Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $19.00 and $21.00  


The Technician Apprentice will serve as a trainee for assigned Master Technicians and is responsible for learning the proper diagnosis and repair of customer and dealership vehicles and the completion of assigned repair orders in an effective and competent manner according to manufacturer standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate with service advisors and technicians clearly and properly articulating customer concerns needed to be addressed.
  • Learn how to properly repair vehicles through formal training sessions and hands-on work tasks supervised by auto technicians.
  • Performs other duties as requested & assigned to assure smooth functioning of service department.
  • Perform simple automotive repairs, following multi-point inspection forms; test batteries.
  • Perform light custodial tasks to keep workshop clean and presentable.
  • Delivers customer vehicles to service stalls as requested by technicians.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor and Human Resources.
  • Maintain current awareness of the requirements of state and federal laws dealing with automobile repairs and consumer protection.
  • Adhere to work schedule and arrive at work before your scheduled start time and be at your work station productively engaged by the scheduled time.
  • Safeguard customer and Dealer information per established policy.  
  • Complies with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety and personal protection equipment as required.
  • Adhere to established dress code policy at all times.
  • Other related duties as may be assigned.
