The Electrical Apprentice works closely with a Journeyman Electrician to maintain the department’s performance. Day-to-day tasks would include assisting our install technicians by providing support. The apprentice will also provide exceptional customer service and support.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Shape company culture by carrying out agreed upon values; specifically, ethics and integrity
  • Assist in service/maintenance for residential and light commercial electrical systems
  • Assess systems to determine repair/replacement recommendations to clients
  • Ensure the client is 100% satisfied with all work upon completion
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule as needed
  • Regularly attend and participate in required meetings
  • Travel as needed
  • Education and training duties as required to obtain state electrical license
  • Able to obtain and maintain trade licenses
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by a supervisor

What Does It Take?

  • At least 1 year of electrical experience, preferably residential
  • Possess strong and effective communication skills and technical competence
  • Takes direction and follows processes • Fluent in English (reading/writing)
  • Able to pass DOT physical/drug screen and background check
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a solid driving record, and can obtain a chauffeur’s license
  • Strong planning, organization, and time management skills
  • Complete assignments with a high degree of detail
  • Highly motivated, flexible, and positive attitude
  • Perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analyze and solve problems
  • Work independently and with teams
  • Capable of working in confined spaces and be able to bend, lift, carry, stoop, crawl, sit, stand, drive, reach above, walk, push, pull, perform find manipulation, and use hands frequently throughout the shift

Physical Requirements: This position requires regularly standing, walking, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, crouching, working in confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces, working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures, using hand and power tools, and lifting/carrying equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
