Technical Expertise & Problem Solving

  • Accurately diagnose a wide range of residential plumbing issues by assessing system performance, identifying root causes, and evaluating both immediate and long-term impacts on the home.
  • Determine the best repair or replacement solutions, balancing quality, code requirements, and customer needs.
  • Tackle complex, recurring problems with sharp technical instincts and hands-on know-how.
  • Use the right tools and diagnostic techniques to nail every assessment and deliver reliable results.
  • Maintain and continuously expand technical expertise by participating in ongoing training, certifications, and professional development to stay current with plumbing technology, tools, and industry best practices.


Customer Communication & Experience

  • Address customer questions and concerns with patience, professionalism, and empathy.

Customer Education and Solutions

  • Walk customers through repair-vs-replace options clearly and honestly.

  • Educate homeowners on how their plumbing systems operate, common maintenance needs, and warning signs of future issues.
  • Introduce and explain maintenance plans, membership programs, and proactive service options that help customers protect their homes and avoid unexpected repairs.
  • Ensure all recommendations align with Action Furnace's commitment to integrity, quality workmanship, and customer-first service.


Safety and Compliance

  • Strictly adhere to all applicable plumbing codes, OH&S requirements, and Action Furnace safety policies to ensure safe and compliant work at all times.
  • Perform work in a manner that prioritizes personal safety, customer safety, and the protection of property in occupied residential environments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free worksite during and after each job, minimizing disruption to homeowners.
  • Properly use and care for tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Actively participate in safety meetings, training sessions, inspections, and incident reporting to support a strong safety culture.


Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Plumbing Ticket
  • Minimum three (3) year driver's license with a clean abstract
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong communication abilities
