Job description

After Hour Animal Hospital located in North Little Rock, Arkansas, is currently seeking a full-time boarded or residency trained Medical Oncologist to join our team.
OUR PRACTICE
At After Hour Animal Hospital, we offer emergency care services for dogs and cats in the Central Arkansas area and recently added Medical Oncology.
We are a full-service veterinary emergency facility, stocked, staffed, and equipped for your family pet’s unexpected illness or injury. Our in-house lab gets blood results fast and compliments our state-of-the-art imaging including digital radiology, ultrasound, and endoscopy. We stock emergency drugs such as snake antivenom as well as blood and plasma transfusion products. After Hour Animal Hospital is the only ER in central Arkansas that is open nights, weekends and holidays.
OUR HOME
Little Rock is full of abundant parks and greenspaces that provide trails for outdoor activities such as hiking, walking, and biking with amazing river views. Venture outside the box and sample the delectable Indian, Latin American, and creative American Cuisine! Don’t forget about the cheese dip and barbeque as you will find some of the best restaurants in the area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build relationships with colleagues, clients, and support staff to ensure a compassionate and collaborative work environment.
  • Motivated to foster a learning environment for colleagues, support staff, and veterinary students visiting the hospital.
  • Triage and facilitate treatment plans for emergency patients.
  • Continue care of specialty patients who are hospitalized overnight and on weekends.
  • Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
  • Provide clear and complete communication to clients and support staff.
  • Communicate with referral partners (verbally and with referral letters)
  • Attend morning rounds to collaborate with specialists on the currently hospitalized patients.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive work culture.
  • Support the hospital's Fear-Free culture and commitment.
