Job Description

The OR/Anesthesia Technician supports the Anesthesia Staff in the preparation, maintenance, and provision of peri-anesthesia patient care. Also assists perioperative team with a variety of OR specific tasks and responsibilities. Demonstrated knowledge of orthopedic / pediatric care for infant, toddler, preschool, school age and young adult (up to age 21) patients. Shriners Spokane is looking for a PRN OR/AT to join the team.

*No Weekends, No Nights*

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preoperatively prepares the anesthesia work station to ensure that all anesthesia carts are standardized according to the direction from the Chief of Anesthesia/Perioperative Manager and are fully stocked at all times.
  • Intraoperatively maintains the functions and cleanliness of the anesthesia work station and assists the anesthesiologists with procedures and technical support
  • Maintains a neat, orderly, clean, efficient well organized anesthesia workroom that is sufficiently stocked at all times.
  • Supply chain duties as assigned
  • Assists with OR turnovers, specimen delivery and opening of sterile items
  • Some patient transport post recovery
Required Qualifications:
  • High School/GED
  • Some experience in surgery department
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Some experience in operating room theory & practice
  • Some experience in supply chain

The pay range for this position is $24.50-$36.76/hourly. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
