This job is a member of the Line Planning Team within the Integrated Operations Division. Responsible for monitoring and continually adjusting the daily aircraft routings to ensure timely and effective completion of maintenance workload requirements while minimizing the impact to the airline operation.
What you'll do
As noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations.
• Preserves scheduled lines, minimizing broken trips and aircraft swaps
• Works with various groups in the IOC to ensure that appropriate aircraft are assigned to flight operations and manages all aircraft restrictions such as: restrictive MELs, lease agreements, heavy check, range/payload restrictions, limited cycle/hour fly backs, airport curfew restrictions
• Monitors heavy maintenance lines and provisions appropriate spare allocations/support
• Reviews all aircraft out of service for an extended period of time and communicates the status with operational personnel on bridge to discuss coverage options
• Monitors spare aircraft throughout the daily operation
• Remains accountable for quick turns, broken trips and unlinked legs
• Keeps management advised of all irregular operations and any discrepancies pertaining to the international operational
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days off

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
• High School diploma or GED equivalency
• 2 years work experience in an Aircraft Operational enviroment or equivalent work related experience

• Knowledge of current IOC planning unit structure
• Knowledge of American's Commercial Schedule
• Knowledge of maintenance structure, maintenance station capabilities and processes
