These roles involve responding to 911 calls, assessing patients, performing first aid or advanced life support, and transporting individuals to hospitals. Weekend shifts are often in high demand due to increased emergencies and the need for coverage when regular staff may be off. Working weekends can also offer flexible scheduling for those balancing other commitments. Applicants usually need relevant certifications and training in emergency medical services.
