Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the Delivery Driver is primarily responsible for transporting and delivering items over designated routes while ensuring safe operation of the Company vehicle in an efficient manner.

 Main responsibilities include:

  • Drive Company vehicle to designated destinations for customer product deliveries
  • Analyze delivery address, determine appropriate routes, and maintain schedule
  • Responsible for the daily completion of the Pre/Post-Trip Log, Hours of Service, and various shipping documents
  • Operate Company vehicles, forklifts, and overhead cranes
  • Ensure proper protocols and procedures are followed when loading, securing, transporting, and unloading materials
  • Report all hazards, incidents, and near misses with the Company vehicle to the supervisor
  • Participate in physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses (as required)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor

 Preferred candidates will possess:

  • 3 to 5 years driving experience in a shipping and receiving environment
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license with a current driver’s abstract (within 30 days)
  • Forklift experience
  • Cargo Securement certification is an asset
  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize, and possess strong organizational skills
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, solid work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrate good time management and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision

The successful candidate must pass an Alberta medical examination for motor vehicle operators prior to commencing employment.  This position requires the successful candidate to participate in an alcohol and drug test and show compliance with Stream-Flo’s Alcohol and Drug Policy before being considered eligible for hire.
