This position offers a guaranteed minimum of 15 hours per week and requires availability to work weekends.

Job Responsibilities

What will you do?

  • Sort, scan, sequence, load, and deliver parcels
  • Operate corporate delivery vehicles safely in all weather and traffic conditions
  • Collect signatures and payments for C.O.D. (Cash on Delivery) and other accountable items
  • Complete delivery records using a Portable Data Terminal (PDT) 
Job Responsibilities (continued)
  • Load and unload parcels, containers, and postal equipment 
  • Perform scheduled and ad hoc parcel pickups and clearances 
  • Perform internal facility duties such as shuttling corporate vehicles between parking location and loading platforms as well as loading/offloading incoming vehicles 
  • Operate dock levellers, conveyor belts and other manual/mechanical equipment.
Qualifications

What must you have?

  • A permanent (NOT GRADUATE) provincial valid Class 5 or Class G driver's licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver's abstract required)
  • The physical ability to lift items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day
  • The ability to work in all types of weather
  • Availability to work weekends is required
  • The ability to read, write and speak English and/or French
