Responsibilities
Passenger Service Agents work at our hub airports and provide efficient, friendly service to all of our customers. Agents promote and sell air travel with American Eagle, American Airlines and/or any of our contracted carriers. Passenger Service Agents complete all necessary arrangements for accommodating passengers with their travel needs.
A Lead Agent working in the Administration department has a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
  • Assisting with processes to ensure operational coverage
  • Utilizing Staff Admin; upload schedules and ensure adequate employee coverage
  • Scheduling training
  • Supporting the implementation of new hire processes
  • Completing various administrative duties
  • Interview applicants and gather information regarding education, experience, training, job skills and salary requirements.
  • Schedule and coordinate follow-up interviews with General Manager. Conduct pre-employment forms and follow up on pre-employmeent checks for selected candidates.
  • Meet the General Manager to discuss upcoming company needs and develop sources of qualified applicants.
  • Enter new hires into company databases and assembles appropriate paperwork, conduct new hire orientation, on-boarding and follow up interviews/check-ins.
  • Collect and submit necessary paperwork. Informs employee, department supervisor and Payroll of all updates.
  • Enrolls eligible employees into various company benefits through HRIS and external vendors.
  • Ensures employees complete appropriate paperwork prior to each new benefit plan year and submitting plan changes.
  • Answer routine inquiries about benefits and claims processing in line with company policies.
  • Provide information on the company, its policies, benefits and available opportunities to agencies and prospects.
  • Knowledgeable of developments in employment law and ensures adherence to legislative requirements and company polices.
  • May assist with coordinating on-site employee meetings and events, travel to various job fairs or assist with company tours surrounding Envoy recruiting initiatives

Lead Agents conduct agent observations and associate activities. Administers local training programs. Responsible for scheduling, manpower utilization as well as maintaining a safe, dependable and consistent operation. Maintains supplies, inventory control logs. Prepares customer correspondence, investigates discrepancies and compiles statistical data for reports. Assists management in the completion of administrative duties. Acts as a company representative when assigned.

  • Minimum Age: 18
  • High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
  • Possess a valid, unexpired and unsuspended driver's license; some license restrictions may prohibit a candidate from being eligible for this position
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends, days off, and be able to report to work on a regular and timely basis
  • Flexible to work additional hours beyond the regular shift, on short notice, and as needed due to operational necessity
  • Must be able to perform all duties in various weather conditions and time constraints
  • Must be able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags and other items weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
  • Possess the legal right to work in the United States
  • A minimum of one year of customer service experience preferred
  • Previous experience in a team-lead capacity preferred
  • Organization and interpersonal skills are necessary
  • Above-average qualities of leadership, initiative, and judgment are essential
  • Administrative background preferred
  • Above average attendance preferred
  • Some locations may desire previous airline experience including working knowledge of an airline's ticketing system and/or ramp operations
