JOB TITLE: Support Engineering Data Specialist 2
LOCATION: Warner Robins, GA
PAY RATE: $51.00/hour

Summary: 

  • Researches and evaluates technical source data and specifications for accuracy and relevance.

  • Develops and maintains technical publication elements including theory of operations, testing and troubleshooting procedures, removal and installation procedures, and schematic diagrams.

  • Coordinates preparation of illustrative materials to support technical publications.

  • Conducts quality and in-process reviews to validate technical publications meet standards.

  • Develops publication elements for all levels of maintenance for fielded equipment, minor systems, or multiple subsystems.

  • Collects, researches, and analyzes source data including equipment requirements, maintenance concepts, task analysis documentation, workflows, and concept of design.

  • Resolves source data gaps and inconsistencies with originators.

  • Provides art or illustration mark-ups and updates publication elements based on reviews, source data changes, and equipment modifications.

  • Validates source data assumptions and conducts peer reviews for technical accuracy and customer format standards.

  • Supports customer verification reviews and takes corrective action based on outcome.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience , 7 years' related work experience, etc.).

  • 1+ year of tactical aircraft avionics systems, subsystems, and components including flight controls, radar, communications and weapons, power distribution, including requirements, operating principles, design variables, performance, and key interfaces.

  • 1+ years of experience with technical data and publications for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.

  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in either military or civilian aircraft maintenance.

  • Preferred: 1+ years of experience authoring aircraft technical data.

  • Preferred: 1+ years of experience reading and interpreting vendor data and engineering drawings, 3D models, wiring diagrams, and interface control documents.

  • Preferred: 1+ years experience with S1000D and Interactive Electronic Technical Manual publication.

  • Preferred: Familiar with eXtensible Markup Language (XML).

  • Preferred: Familiar with Contenta.
