The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
The AI Data Engineer II supports the enterprise Data & Analytics team in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining AI solutions that improve operational efficiency, decision-making, and digital experiences across the organization. This individual functions as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting both traditional AI/ML and modern applied AI initiatives, including predictive modeling, forecasting, anomaly detection, intelligent automation, document intelligence, chatbot design and development, and AI agent development.
The AI Data Engineer II works with structured and unstructured data, enterprise platforms, cloud technologies, and software engineering best practices to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable AI capabilities. Responsibilities include collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to identify use cases, preparing and transforming data, developing and evaluating models and AI workflows, integrating solutions into production environments, and supporting monitoring, quality, governance, and continuous improvement in a healthcare setting.
The individual must maintain a strong understanding of modern software engineering and AI technologies/frameworks and demonstrate a passion for learning new tools, techniques, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Education
  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.

Work Experience:
o Mid-level experience in AI Data Engineering, machine learning engineering, data science engineering, software
engineering, or a similar technical role.
o Experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions using Python and SQL in enterprise or cloud-based environments.
o Experience with machine learning techniques for forecasting, prediction, classification, anomaly detection, or optimization.
o Experience designing and implementing modern applied AI solutions such as AI agents, chatbot / conversational AI applications, document intelligence, or other NLP- and LLM-enabled workflows.
o Knowledge of data acquisition and integration using APIs, REST/JSON, relational and non-relational data sources, and unstructured document/content inputs.
o Experience with model evaluation, testing, prompt / workflow iteration, monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI solutions in production environments.
o Working knowledge of software engineering best practices including version control, CI/CD, reusable code design, and secure deployment practices.
o Experience working with cloud platforms, data platforms, and AI/ML services; familiarity with healthcare data, privacy, security, and governance requirements is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
    • Preferred: Professional certifications in cloud platforms, AI/ML technologies, data platforms, or related technical domains.
