HVAC HELPER - IAQ HELPER
HVAC Team - Indoor Air Quality Tech
Location: Tampa, FL 33619
Pay: $17.00-$19.00 Full Time / Hourly

The IAQ Helper will assist the Lead Indoor Air Quality Technician with duct cleaning, Aeroseal applications, equipment setup, job site preparation, and general support duties related to indoor air quality services. This role requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, professionalism in customer homes, and the ability to safely handle tools, equipment, and materials while supporting efficient completion of IAQ projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist technicians with repairs, maintenance, and installations.
  • Observe and learn all aspects of the trade under the guidance of experienced professionals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in customers’ homes and on job sites.
  • Represent the company with professionalism, courtesy, and respect at all times.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Follow company policies, Code of Ethics, and team standards.
  • Keep work vehicles clean, stocked, and well-maintained.
  • Participate in daily meetings, training sessions, and team-building activities.
  • Follow safety best practices on every job and while driving company vehicles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


What We’re Looking for

  • Valid driver’s license a MUST.
  • High school diploma, GED, or vocational school equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of HVAC Install experience
  • Experience using manual or power tools.
  • Positive attitude and strong desire to learn a trade.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable, professional, and organized.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders, work in attics, crawl spaces, and other residential environments.
  • EPA or NATE certification a plus.

Education and Experience Requirements

Required:
• One (1) year of general labor experience using manual and power-operated tools
• High school diploma, vocational-technical school diploma, or GED
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Preferred:
• Experience in the trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
• Experience with ServiceTitan software

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work on concrete floors and uneven surfaces for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
• Ability to work in tight or awkward spaces and carry required tools and equipment
• Exposure to construction site conditions including noise from power tools and dust/debris
• Ability to sit for extended periods when required
• Ability to travel for training and meetings as needed
