Job description

The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for managing client verticals to support a collective of diverse projects for the business. The Account Manager possesses an understanding of strategic plans and the ability to interface and guide conversations with high-level executives. The position requires outstanding communication, organization and coaching skills. The Account Manager demonstrates an understanding of the client’s business, industry and competitors and develops project plans and reports to portfolio leads.
Requirements/Experience
  • Knowledge of sales, marketing and advertising/business principles
  • Agency experience working with creative teams
  • Experience and knowledge of all creative communication platforms (print, digital, PPT, video, animation)
  • Experience mentoring junior staff and onboarding team members
  • Manage client verticals ($500K - $1.5M)
  • Lead account teams and client discussions
  • Develop staffing plan for accounts and projects
  • Manage all aspects of the client vertical including:
    • Day-to-day client communications
    • Project Overviews/SOWs
    • Timelines
    • Project reports
    • Project budgets and billings
  • Demonstrate initiative and a strong understanding of client’s business, industry and products
  • Understand client’s strategy and objectives – or in some cases aid clients to articulate and develop them
  • Demonstrate critical and strategic thinking skills and develops recommendations
  • Manage client expectations and feedback
  • Provide the client’s perspective to the internal team
  • Ensure all deliverables meet project scope, expectations and mandatories
  • Nurture client relationship – maintain business and drive organic growth
  • Partner with business development team to provide input on proposals
  • Identify business opportunities and take initiative (e.g. proactive proposals, idea sharing to improve Notion)
  • Coach and mentor junior team members and manage up as needed
  • Demonstrate ongoing growth in leadership skills and
  • Lead and manage Notion internal initiative/program
