Whether you are an experienced test prep tutor, teacher, graduate student, or educator looking to expand your tutoring practice, On Point Tutoring provides access to consistent tutoring opportunities, test preparation resources, and support to help you grow as an independent tutor.

Many of our students work with the same tutor throughout their test preparation journey, so we are seeking tutors who are interested in accepting tutoring opportunities throughout the academic year.

This is a year-round independent contractor opportunity and is not intended for seasonal or summer-only tutoring.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Part-time independent contractor opportunity
  • Flexible daytime, evening, and weekend tutoring opportunities
  • Choose your availability and accept tutoring opportunities that fit your schedule
  • In-person tutoring in Coral Gables, FL

Independent Contractor Opportunity

Tutors provide services as independent contractors and are responsible for managing their own schedules and availability. Tutors have the flexibility to accept tutoring opportunities that align with their interests and availability while gaining access to student opportunities, SAT/ACT resources, and support through On Point Tutoring.

This opportunity is ideal for educators looking to build their independent test preparation tutoring practice while working with a trusted tutoring organization.

  • Supportive and collaborative tutor community
  • Tutor referral bonus opportunities
  • Performance incentives
  • Tutor of the Month recognition
  • Initial onboarding and access to ongoing resources
  • Company-created curriculum, practice materials, and diagnostic resources
  • Opportunities to expand your tutoring experience and increase your compensation

Tutor Qualifications

We are looking for SAT/ACT tutors who are:

  • Experienced in SAT/ACT tutoring or classroom teaching (strongly preferred)
  • Able to consistently make approximately 15 hours per week available for tutoring opportunities
  • Interested in accepting tutoring opportunities throughout the academic year
  • Knowledgeable in SAT and ACT content, strategies, and pacing techniques
  • Strong communicators with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable analyzing student performance and adapting instruction based on individual needs
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Professional, punctual, and committed to providing an exceptional tutoring experience

Tutor Responsibilities

Independent tutors partnering with On Point Tutoring are expected to:

  • Provide personalized one-on-one SAT and ACT preparation based on each student's goals and areas for improvement
  • Teach content review, test-taking strategies, pacing techniques, and problem-solving approaches
  • Create structured lesson plans that support student progress
  • Review practice assignments, diagnostic results, and student performance data
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate session documentation
  • Communicate student progress and upcoming goals with students and families
  • Complete post-session notes promptly
  • Provide appropriate materials needed to conduct effective tutoring sessions
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions with students, families, and the On Point Tutoring community

This Opportunity Is a Great Fit If You:

  • Enjoy helping students improve their SAT/ACT performance
  • Are passionate about test preparation and education
  • Thrive in a one-on-one teaching environment
