Job description

To care for and teach children from birth through 5th grade while their parents are deepening their faith at weekday and evening events. Responsibilities include leading a Bible-based lesson and providing age appropriate activities and basic care while encouraging each child to build a relationship with Jesus. Must have a demonstrated agreement with our Statement of Faith aligning care for and teaching children to the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church. Work times vary by location, however current shifts available are as follows:
  • Blankenbaker: Tuesday & Wednesday Mornings; Tuesday & Thursday Evenings & Special Events
  • Crestwood: Wednesday & Thursday Mornings; Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday Evenings
  • Franklin: Wednesday Evenings & Thursday Mornings
  • Indiana: Wednesday Mornings; Tuesday & Wednesday Evenings
  • La Grange: Tuesday Evenings & Wednesday Mornings; plus occasional Sunday Evenings
  • Prospect: Wednesday Mornings & Special Events

What You Will Be Doing

  • Interact with children.
  • Teach age-appropriate Bible lessons.
  • Create and help with crafts.
  • Pray with children and connect with families.
  • May assist with other duties in kids ministry, as requested.
