Job description

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Western Suburbs: La Grange, Oak Park, Maywood, IL

Compensation: $18-$21 per hour
Shifts Available: Weekdays & Weekends | 7am–7pm, 7pm–7am
Positions Available: Full-time & Part-time | Immediate Start

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate care as directed by the nursing supervisor and the client’s care plan
  • Assist with personal care needs such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
  • Take and record vital signs accurately
  • Support mobility and transfers using Hoyer Lift, Gait Belt, Sit-to-Stand, and other transfer equipment
  • Provide specialized care for clients with G-tubes, tracheostomies, and ventilators (training or experience required)
  • Assist with feeding, meal prep, and light housekeeping
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Transport clients to appointments and community activities, when needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience (home care or facility)
  • Experience with G-tube, trach, and vent care preferred
  • Proficient with Hoyer Lift, Gait Belt, and Sit-to-Stand transfers
  • Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant program
  • Active CNA certification in good standing (Illinois)
  • CPR certification (required)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if applicable)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Empathetic, dependable, and team-oriented
