An exclusive full-time Inpatient Psychiatrist opportunity is available in Georgetown, Delaware for a board-certified or board-eligible physician seeking a stable, career-focused role in a structured inpatient behavioral health setting. This permanent physician position offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment while providing critical psychiatric care to patients with a wide range of behavioral health conditions.

This 100% onsite role features a highly desirable weekday-only schedule with no call and no weekend responsibilities, allowing physicians to focus on delivering high-quality patient care while maintaining strong work-life balance. Join a dedicated care team supporting individuals with complex psychiatric needs in a supportive clinical environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment
    • Manage patients with conditions including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and personality disorders
    • Develop and oversee pharmacotherapy treatment plans
    • Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary care coordination
    • Maintain accurate clinical documentation within the EMR system
    • Ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
    • Completion of accredited Psychiatry residency
    • Active Delaware medical license or ability to obtain
    • DEA and CSR/CDS certification required prior to start

    • Experience with involuntary commitments and psychiatric pharmacotherapy
