Job description

Position Type: Part-Time
Location: Woodinville, WA
Office: Jovie of Redmond, WA
Summary:
A bit about us: We are a Woodinville family looking for a warm, engaging nanny to care for our social and playful 3-year-old girl. She loves hide-and-seek, reading books, playing with toys, spending time outside, and riding around on her favorite toy car. She is currently accustomed to having an au pair, whose two-year placement with our family is coming to an end, so we’re hoping to find another caregiver she can build a wonderful connection with. One parent works from home and will be available as a resource if needed, but stays in a separate room during the nanny’s shift so the nanny can comfortably take the lead.
A bit about you: You’re an energetic and engaging caregiver who genuinely enjoys spending time with an active, social preschooler. Building a strong connection with our kiddo is especially important, as she can take some time to warm up to a new caregiver but does wonderfully once she finds someone she connects with. You enjoy getting down on her level to play, reading together, heading outside, and keeping mornings interesting with age-appropriate activities. Ideally, you have reliable transportation and are comfortable taking her to a nearby park, although we’re open to a great-fit nanny who does not have a vehicle.
What You’ll Do: Your mornings will focus primarily on providing attentive, engaging care for our 3-year-old. You’ll arrive at 7:00 a.m. and help her get dressed and ready for the day, prepare a simple breakfast, make sure she has water, and spend the morning playing, reading, and enjoying time outside. Ideally, you’ll break up the morning with a mid-shift trip to a nearby park before returning home for a snack. If outings aren’t possible because you do not have a vehicle, some light household help, such as a quick vacuum, would be appreciated when time allows; otherwise, the focus of the four-hour shift is childcare.: “Text NANNY to 206-752-6917 to apply and schedule your interview in under 3 minutes.
Start Date: As soon as the right fit nanny can start!
Schedule: M-F 7:00 am – 11:00am
Pay: $32-38
Position Highlights:
  • Guaranteed hours
  • Consistent weekday morning schedule
  • Primarily childcare-focused position
  • Parent working from home but respectful of nanny autonomy
  • Long-term outlook
  • Family willing to discuss additional compensation benefits with the right-fit nanny

You’ll be a great fit for this nanny job if you have:
  • Experience providing childcare
  • Comfortable caring for a 3-year-old
  • Able to engage in active, age-appropriate play
  • Comfortable preparing simple child breakfasts and snacks
  • Reliable transportation to and from the family’s home
  • Comfortable working in a home with a work-from-home parent
  • Glowing references from recent nanny positions

Set yourself apart: A nanny who has their own vehicle and enjoys taking a preschooler on morning outings to local parks would be a wonderful fit. The family also has a connection to the Cottage Lake community through their church, so familiarity with the Cottage Lake/Woodinville area could be a nice bonus. Most importantly, they’re looking for someone who can naturally connect with their daughter and make their mornings together fun, active, and engaging.
**All applicants must first interview with a Jovie specialist. Qualifying applicants will meet the family prior to being hired.
What happens after I apply?
Our recruiting team will review your information and schedule an interview. Next, we will conduct screening and reference checks; and send an offer to join the team if qualified. Then we’ll match you with families that fit your experience and availability.
Working Conditions and Requirements:
  • Work environment will be active, kid-centric and includes clean up of activities
  • Part of each day may be spent outside, weather permitting, and will be active play
  • Essential Physical Requirements:
    • Position involves regular lifting, bending, squatting, reaching and pushing
    • Must be able to lift 35 pounds safely
    • Must be able to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day
    • Will need to be able to react quickly to certain situations
    • May need to react to emergent situations in a calm, effective and safe manner
