Job description

Automotive Technician/Mechanic
Lighthouse is looking for an individual with a great attitude, good work ethic, high integrity, and an ASE certification as an Automotive Technician.
As a Lighthouse Automotive Service Technician, you will work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for servicing our guests' vehicles and ensuring quality workmanship.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $25.00 - $35.00+ per hour
Schedule: 8-hour shift - Day shift, Monday to Friday - the shop closes at 5:30 PM on weekdays, and is closed for weekends.

Expected hours: 40 per week
Qualifications:
  • ASE certification strongly preferred.
  • Applicants with 2+ years of professional experience will also be considered.
  • Must be a High School Graduate or have a completed GED.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.

Essential duties include:
  • Performing work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing repair.
  • Communicating effectively with teammates, parts department, service advisor, and supervisor.
  • Supervising the work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Inspecting and refilling fluid levels as necessary.
  • Completing vehicle inspections.
  • Cleaning and lubricating fittings as needed.
  • Ensuring that the service center is clean and presentable.
  • Greeting any guests encountered, in a professional, pleasant manner.
  • Saving and tagging parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Documenting all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
  • Road testing vehicles when required or referring to the test technician.
  • Participating in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools and events.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of customer's cars and shop area.
  • Understanding, keeping abreast of, and complying with: manufacturer technical bulletins, federal, state, and local regulations--such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
