Range Safety Officer

The Range in McKinney is a family owned indoor shooting range. We are seeking Range Safety Officers to work weekdays and some weekends. If you have excellent people skills and enjoy working in a retail environment, we want to hear from you. You must be able to work a flexible schedule and have reliable transportation. Candidate will have exceptional customer service skills, be able to multi-task, work without direction and work as a team member with staff members.  
During the interview you must be able to field strip 2 firearms of our choice.

Hourly pay - $15 to begin with a review after 90 days.
Job Description: 
We are an 18-lane indoor range with class/meeting rooms, video virtual simulator, retail and event area. 
Our RSO staff will: 
  • Perform duties of Range Safety Officer
  • Provide members and guests with information on the range equipment and perform safety briefings to help maintain a safe range.
  • Greet members and guests
  • Assist with rental firearms
  • Assist members/guests in choosing a new firearm
  • Clean rental firearms as needed
  • Work events
  • Sell ammunition, memberships, merchandise and other items
  • Maintain a clean and safe range
  • Be able to lift 50lbs. and stand for long periods of time as well as perform some manual labor
  • Perform opening and closing tasks
  • Help keep retail area clean and stocked
  • Instruction
  • Additional duties as necessary

All staff will be subject to a background check. If you cannot purchase a firearm legally in the US do not apply. Drug test and lead level test will also be performed.
 
What are we looking for?
An individual with RSO experience and enjoys working around the sport of shooting. We want people who are hardworking, honest and are friendly to members and guests but also to your fellow associates. You must be able to say “no” when needed. Must have experience with firearms. Just because you love firearms or you want to learn about the firearm/range business, this may not be the position for you. The manual labor consists of shoveling the berm. 
We are not a woke business and your personal pronouns are a waste of our time. We don't need any "drama llamas" or anyone who wants to cause problems within the team. You must show up for your shifts.
