As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Monitoring in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations with professionalism, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will work collaboratively, put people first, and act with integrity while helping maintain a secure environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public agencies as required by site procedures.
  • Monitor access points and check credentials, permits, and authorization documents in accordance with applicable policies and post orders.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports for patrol observations, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
