Description:

Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a Trainer.


Location: Layton Parkway

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm


Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on training of the NextGen EHR application software to physicians and clinical staff.
  • Provide EHR expertise in order to optimize the efficiency for the end users and streamline the clinicians' workflow.
  • Develop user guides, policies and procedures and reference materials that are clinically relevant to the practice.
  • Some cross-training with EPM will be required.
  • Provide hands-on training of the NextGen EPM application software to medical and clerical staff, with specific focus on reception and scheduling processes.
  • Provide on-going training and auditing to all reception staff to ensure accurate check-in for our patients and compliance to intended process outcomes.
  • Provide EPM expertise in order to optimize the efficiency for the end users and streamline clerical workflow.
  • Develop user guides, policies and procedures and reference materials that are relevant to the individual non-clinical departments using EPM.
  • Some cross-training with EHR will be required.
  • Provide troubleshooting related to individual end-user issues.
  • Collaborate regularly with staff and leadership on ways to achieve more efficient, effective and applicable workflow and outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date on application releases and enhancements.
  • Participate in all system upgrades, fixes, and enhancements (software and hardware related).
  • Participate in the system testing process for new functionality or system upgrades.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

Education:

  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred

Experience:

  • Two years clinical care experience for EHR trainer.
  • Two years clinic support (reception, billing, scheduling) experience for EPM trainer.
  • Proficient with electronic health record systems (clinical or practice management) in a healthcare setting with an excellent understanding of clinical language.

Performance Requirements:

Knowledge:

  1. Extensive knowledge of computer programs and computer hardware.
  2. Knowledge of computer programming principles and techniques.

Skills:

  1. Skill in assisting a variety of users on computer applications and programs.
  2. Skill in effective interpersonal skills and customer support methods.

Abilities:

  1. Ability to clearly explain computer applications and programs in simple, user-friendly ways.
  2. Ability to effectively interact with all employees at all levels of computer understanding.
  3. Ability to be well organized and prioritize effectively.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.


Work Environment: Position is in a well-lighted office environment. Occasional evening and weekend work.


Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking, kneeling, bending, or standing the remainder. May be required to lift up to 30 pounds.
