Job DescriptionPart-Time School Interventionist (Science/Biology)

Schedule: Daily weekday availability is required.

About the Role

Teachers Now is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science/Biology Interventionist to support middle and high school students during the 2026–2027 school year. In this role, you will provide targeted academic intervention to help students strengthen their understanding of science and biology concepts, close learning gaps, and build the confidence needed for academic success.

Working closely with teachers and school staff, you will deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that promotes scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide small-group and one-on-one intervention in Science and Biology.

  • Reinforce grade-level science concepts, including life science, biology, scientific inquiry, and laboratory skills.

  • Help students develop critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of academic growth.

  • Create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment.

  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student achievement.

  • Adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse student learning needs.

  • Encourage student confidence, participation, and academic success.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required (Science, Biology, Life Sciences, Science Education, or a related field preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of K–12 Science and Biology curriculum.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

  • Passion for helping students succeed academically.

  • Previous teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or intervention experience is preferred but not required.
