Job description

LaLonde Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is seeking energetic, organized and self-motivated personnel to join our Sales Team!

As an Automotive Sales Consultant you will be responsible for generating new sales by prospecting new, and nurturing existing, customers.
Skills and abilities will include, but not limited to:
  • Sell new and used automobiles.
  • Approach and assist potential new customers in the showroom.
  • Keep lists of customers and contact them regularly to see if they are ready to make a new purchase.
  • Know the details of financing to help customers make loan arrangements.
  • Must be able to figure the trade-in allowance that can be given on an old car against the price of a new car.
  • Negotiate with the customer over the final price of the car.
  • Bilingual applicants wanted!
Additional responsibilities include:
- Place regularly scheduled calls and account reviews.
- Consult and advise with dealership management.
- Ability to gain knowledge/expertise of dealership product and service portfolio.
- Perform administrative duties relating to contract administration.
- PC Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook, and other office machines.
Job Requirements include but are not limited to...
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prior auto dealership experience is a plus but not required
- Must be able to work independently, have excellent communication skills and have the ability to multitask.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
- EXCELLENT customer service skills and phone etiquette
- Professional appearance a must
- Outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships (i.e., a "people person")
- Must meet company's requirements for employment including a valid driver's license
